According to what the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran has announced, citizens of 28 countries can travel to Iran without a visa with a valid passport starting from February 4, 2024. Based on the Cabinet of Ministers’ resolution, citizens of these countries may stay in Iran for 15 days every 6 months. Citizens from Syria, Turkey, Armenia, Lebanon, Bolivia, Azerbaijan, Malaysia, Oman, Venezuela, Georgia, Egypt, and China are included in the visa exemption list and can enter and stay in Iran without a visa. Citizens of Lebanon, Venezuela, and Malaysia can obtain necessary entry permits at the border, based on regulations and conditions set. Also, holders of regular passports from the 28 countries below can stay in Iran for tourism purposes for 15 days (non-extendable) every 6 months without obtaining a visa.
